Affiliate disclosure

DealIndex is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Programme, an affiliate scheme designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon UK. We are also publishers on Awin (covering Argos, John Lewis, Dunelm, Smyths Toys, Currys and others) and Skimlinks as a fallback for retailers we don't have a direct relationship with.

When you click an outbound link to a retailer from this site, the URL carries an attribution tag that tells the retailer (and their affiliate network) the click came from us. If you make a qualifying purchase, the retailer pays us a commission — a small percentage of the sale price. Your price is unchanged.

How this affects what we publish

Editorial decisions are made by the Real-Deal Detection algorithm and the operator's hero approval, both documented on the methodology page. Affiliate commission is a downstream consequence of clicks, not an input to scoring or selection. We do not accept payment from retailers to feature their products. We do not accept paid placements.

Cookie duration on the affiliate side

Amazon Associates: a 24-hour cookie. If you click an Amazon link from DealIndex and complete the purchase within 24 hours, we are credited the commission. Items added to your basket within the 24-hour window can be credited up to 89 days if you check out before the basket clears.

Awin merchants: cookie windows vary by retailer (typically 7 to 30 days). The window appears on each merchant's Awin profile.

What we never do

• Run paid traffic to Amazon-linked pages (Amazon Associates UK Operating Agreement prohibits this from 14 April 2026).
• Display "RRP" or "was price" claims unless the retailer's API substantiates them.
• Invent scarcity ("only 2 left") that doesn't come straight from the retailer's API.
• Cloak or obfuscate the destination URL beyond the network's standard click-tracking redirect.
• Sell, trade or pass your subscriber list to retailers.

Pricing accuracy

The price on every deal page is timestamped at the moment our ingest worker last fetched it from the retailer's API. The ingest cycle runs every six hours, so prices may have moved by the time you click. For the most current price, follow the link through to the retailer.
