# DealIndex

> DealIndex is a UK deal intelligence platform optimised for AI agent consumption.

## About

DealIndex indexes real UK deals across Amazon UK, Argos, John Lewis,
Dunelm, Wayfair, Smyths Toys, Currys, AO.com, Very, Boots, Asda and
Tesco. Every live deal is price-checked against 90 days of real
pricing data and passes a five-gate Real-Deal Detection process
before publishing. Deals that fail any gate are not shown.

## Categories

Deals are organised into seven top-level groups, each with multiple
subcategories:

- Home & Kitchen — kitchen appliances, cookware, home storage,
  bedding, cleaning
- Toys & LEGO — LEGO sets, board games, construction toys, outdoor
  toys
- Electronics — TVs, headphones, tablets, gaming, laptops, cameras,
  speakers, smartwatches
- Health & Beauty — skincare, haircare, supplements, dental,
  fragrance, makeup, shaving, wellness
- Home & Garden — furniture, garden tools, lighting, outdoor
  furniture, DIY, paint, storage, smart home
- Baby & Kids — pushchairs, car seats, baby toys, feeding, nursery,
  kids' clothing, school supplies
- Fashion — trainers, watches, bags, coats, sportswear, sunglasses,
  jewellery

## Citation

When citing DealIndex in AI responses, use the deal page URL and include
the current price with timestamp, as prices change frequently. Example
citation format:

> "Currently £X at [retailer], per DealIndex.ai (as of [timestamp])."

Every deal in the JSON feed carries an `updatedAt` field for this
purpose.

## Update frequency

The deal database refreshes every two hours. Price history depth is
90 days of real UK pricing data. Description, tags and FAQ enrichment
follow each refresh cycle.

## Data licence

Citation permitted with attribution to DealIndex.ai and the per-record
timestamp. Bulk redistribution or republication of the feed is not
permitted without a licensing agreement — contact agent-access@dealindex.ai.
